Our client is an international commercial bank in Central Europe. The Hungarian entity focuses mainly on corporate clients with an annual turnover starting from € 5 million and also services private customers. The bank has a solid reputation, operates a growing branch network and has been continuously increasing its profit in Hungary throughout the previous years. A strong market and customer focus as well as an efficient decision making process characterize the operating style of the bank.


The bank plans to expand its branch network in Hungary. Except Budapest, there is only one branch in a specific city. After a careful market analysis the bank is working on establishing a new branch in Nyíregyháza.




The right future Branch Manager is a key factor for the success of a branch. All Branch Managers of our client are very well connected in the business life of their respective regions and are experts in corporate banking. Their business partners appreciate them as competent partners due to their specialized knowledge, long-term experience and seniority level. All Branch Managers report directly to the Board in the Budapest HQ.


Establishing the local branch in Nyíregyháza

• Identifying and pre-selecting the site for the new branch

• Setting up the branch together with responsible team of the HQ

• Recruiting the branch staff

• Opening of the branch including local marketing


Key responsibilities as Branch Manager

• Acquiring and managing the business relationships with corporate clients

• Leading the branch team (usually 4 persons)

• Responsible for the results of the branch





• Excellent network of contacts with companies in Nyíregyháza and the region

• Potential candidates currently work in positions such as Branch Managers and Deputy Branch Managers, Regional and Sub-Regional Managers, Senior Relationship Managers or Sales Support Managers for corporate clients with a good management potential and relevant contacts in the area of the future branch

• Client-oriented and sales-focused

• Solid experience in corporate banking

• Good knowledge of retail banking

• Able to lead a small team

• A strong character

• Someone who fits into a straightforward organization

• Strong communication skills

• Someone who can deliver the budgeted turnover and profitability of his/her branch

• College or university degree

• Native Hungarian and very good German would be preferred, English would be an alternative. However: fulfilling the responsibilities is more important than the language.
